Exposing the Enemy - I Peter 5:8
As part of the construction of a railway in March 1898 the British started building a railway bridge over the Tsavo River in Kenya.
The project was led by Lieutenant-Colonel John Henry Patterson. During a period of nine months of construction, two male Tsavo lions stalked the campsite, dragging Indian workers from their tents at night and devouring them. After the attacks, hundreds of workers fled from Tsavo, halting construction on the bridge.
Their enemy wasn’t the people they worked with or those around them, it wasn’t the difficulty of the job that was their adversary. Their enemy was the man eating lion that stalked them daily.
There are some things God wants you to know. God wants to expose the enemy.
